Be not deceived beware of false teacher Joel Osteen

” Beware of False prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves” Matthew 7:15

Dear friend, the Bible warns us that the last days would be characterized by religious deception..1 Tim 4:1

Jesus said..

Take heed that no man deceive you. for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and Deceive Many. Matt 24:4-5

The word of God admonishes us to “Prove all things” 1 Thes 5:21

And diligently to…

“try the spirits” to see “whether they are of God because many false prophets are gone out into the world” 1 John 4:1

In light of this truth I encourage you to honestly and soberly consider the following facts regarding the ministry of Joel Osteen

Mr. Osteen he is one of the most popular television preachers in the world. Thousands of people flock to hear him each week. According to his website, he is reaching into 200 million homes around the world. His website also claims that their “hope for today“ podcast is one of the top five Downloaded in the world. Wow! The fact that Joel is so popular must mean that he is like Jesus, right? Or does it? Jesus was hated by the whole world and he explains why In John 7:7

“ The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works there of are evil.” John 7:7

Jesus said that if we follow him that the world will hate us and that if the world loves us, we are actually of the world…

“If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also. But all these things will they do unto you for my name’s sake, because they know not him that sent me.” John 15:18-21 KJV

Jesus wasn’t rich, wasn’t loved by the world and if he preached a message like Mr. Osteen’s it’s unlikely he would have ever been crucified. Jesus Christ was basically homeless Matthew 8:20 and said that it was almost impossible for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of heaven Matthew 19:23-24.

If indeed your “best life“ is now then we know where your heart is and you can’t serve two masters Matthew 6:19-24.

Are you content with what you have? Do you desire to be rich? Then, you are in grave spiritual trouble…

“Perverse disputing of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself. But godliness with contentment is great gain.” 1 Timothy 6:5-11 KJV

Ever wonder why Joel Osteen rarely use the scripture or twist it when he does? Have you noticed Mr. Osteen seldom, if ever, denounces sin? Why is this? It’s because he is a false teacher. The Scripture teaches the unrepented, all liars, covetous people, drunkards, idolaters, homosexuals, etc. will all perish in their sin (1 Cor 6:9-10, gal 5:19-21, rev 21:8) But Mr. O’Steen teaches a pseudo- Universalist view, Denying the “narrow “way of Christ’s Gospel (Matt 7:15) by refusing to preach the gospel condition of repentance (Luke 13:13) When we think of a false prophet are false teacher, they thought that generally comes to mind is a charlatan a line, Bible twisting, forked tongued rogue Who rarely, if ever, properly expounds on the scripture. However, in today’s seeker sensitive, apostate church world, more times than not it’s not so much what they say but what they refused to say, that makes them false.

“But if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to hear my words, then they should have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings.” Jeremiah 23:22 KJV

Instead of preaching repentance, where sinners can be turned from their sins and reconciled to God, TV preachers like Joel promise that with positive thinking, dreaming big, and donating money to them, you can have your “best life now“ of health, wealth, and ease.

The truth is God doesn’t necessarily promise wealth, health and ease, though he does promise to meet the needs of all genuine believers Philippians 4:19

The fact is, your greatest need is not wealth or even health, but eternal life and you cannot have eternal life if you refuse to for sake your sin.

Friend, if you have not been born again and delivered from your wickedness you are yet in your sins John 8:24

Tragically, if you commit sin, then San has become your master John 8:34.

Hence, you are not only under the penalty of sin you are likewise under its spellbinding power.

Dear sinner, The problem with man is not merely one of behavior but one of nature ( acquired, not inherited).

Therefore, the Bible declares you must be utterly changed John 3:3.

However, it’s impossible for you to deliver yourself Jeremiah 13:23  as sin has rendered you helpless, shattered, and lost. You are not only in need of forgiveness but you are also in need of cleansing. What will you do? Is there any hope? Is there anyone who can help? The Bible alone offers you this good news…

If you will be saved from the power and penalty of your sin, you must repent (turn from all sin to serve and follow Jesus) and put your complete faith in Jesus Christ, God Son.

When Jesus died on the cross, he became your sin offering, dying to free you from the bondage of sin. He, once and for all, stepped into the quart room of your judgment and pleaded your case before God. Then he rose from the dead, defeating death. If you want to be saved from sin and hell, confess and for sake your sin (Proverbs 28:13) and put your faith in Jesus Christ for your eternal salvation. When you make Jesus your Lord (Romans 10:9) you will pass from death to life. Now, go and sin no more, read the Bible daily and obey what you read see John 14:21 God will never fail you

Dear reader the Bible warns..

“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” 2 Timothy 4:3-4 KJV
